About
A physicist by training (Vilnius University, 1987), Rimas has spent over
two decades building the Lithuanian pirtis tradition into a profession:
he founded the Lithuanian Bath Academy (2004) and the International Bath
Academy (2011), wrote the first complete Lithuanian sauna guide
„Gera pirtis" (2004), and has taught 500+ students through the
„Pirtis ABC" course. He designs saunas and wood-fired stoves, developed
his own whisking (vanta) theory and microclimate methodology, and has
organized international whisking championships across the Baltics and
Finland. Today he also builds AI systems that carry this embodied
knowledge further than one person can travel.
